What is “sustainable change”?

Sustainable change is something that you can create in your day to day life to become the best version of yourself. Instead of doing diet after diet, you can instead create habits that lead to this change. That is, whatever you want to change in your life, you’re able to do with just a few simple actions each day.

So, what are some habits that you can create in your daily life for more sustainable change?

Sustainable Change Through Nutrition:

  • πŸ₯— Eating enough protein/ carbs/ fats throughout the day,
  • πŸ₯— Getting enough vegetables every day,
  • πŸ₯— Drinking enough water, and
  • πŸ₯— Meal planning to help you reach your goals.
  • Movement:

  • πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Planning more exercise into your day. This could be walking/ cycling to work, taking the stairs, doing a home workout, or going to the gym.
  • πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ 5 minute actions. These are short, simple things to do every day to help you reach your goals. Maybe reading for 5 minutes can help you ace your next university exam. Or, maybe making a quick 5 minute breakfast can help you avoid going to Starbucks for the fifth time this week, which in return helps you save some well needed money. Whatever your goal is, a 5 minute action can help you reach it!
  • πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Recovery. Allowing yourself to rest and relax, read a book, take a bath, do some stretching; whatever it is, let your body (and mind) recover from the day!
  • Sleep:

  • πŸ’€ Getting enough sleep at night,
  • πŸ’€ Being consistent with sleep every single night, and
  • πŸ’€ Getting good quality sleep every single night.
  • These are just a few examples of habits that you can create in your daily life that lead to big changes if you do them consistently!

    Remember: the best way to hit your goals is to stay consistent, put in some effort every day, and keep yourself accountable. You can do it!
